SAGU Christmas Day of Serving is a day when SAGU faculty and staff serve our local Ellis County community.
From Waxahachie to Italy to Ennis, on December 16, 2022, we invite you to take a few hours out of your day to serve one of the local non-profits listed in the sign-up form.

Opportunity 1: SAGU Food Distribution
Location: SAGU, 1200 Sycamore St.
Time: 9:00AM – 1:00PM
Volunteers: 15-20 people
Service Activity Description: Serving alongside Convoy of Hope to distribute 30 pallets of food, snacks, and beverages to area food pantries and churches.
Opportunity 2: Northside Christmas Wonderland
Location: Northside Elementary, 801 Brown St
Time: 8:30AM – 2:30PM
Volunteers: 5-7 people
Service Activity Description: Turning the school into a Christmas Wonderland for the students.
Opportunity 3: Meals On Wheels – Waxahachie
Location: First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie 505 W. Marvin Ave.
Time: 10:45AM – 12:00.
Volunteers: 2 people (travel together)
Service Activity Description: Delivering meals on nine routes to individuals in need.
Opportunity 4: Meals On Wheels – Red Oak
Location: North Ellis County Outreach, 404 TX-342, Red Oak, TX 75154
Time: 11:30AM – 12:00
Volunteers: 1 person
Service Activity Description: Delivering meals on one route to individuals in need.
Opportunity 5: Meals on Wheels – Midlothian
Location: Midlothian Senior Citizens Center, 4 Community Center Drive, Midlothian, TX 76065
Time: 10:45AM – 11:45AM
Volunteers: 2 people (travel together)
Service Activity Description: Delivering meals on three routes to individuals in need.
Opportunity 6: Salvation Army Bell Ringer – 1st Shift
Location: Hobby Lobby, 1201 US-77
Time: 10:00am – 1:00PM
Volunteers: 4 people (two sets of ringing together)
Service Activity Description: Ring the bell for donations in front of Hobby Lobby.

Opportunity 10: Christmas Stockings and Clothing Sorting
Location: 1010 Technology Way, Suite 400, Waxahachie, TX 75165

Volunteers: 8-10 people
Service Activity Description: Help Runners Refuge fill up Christmas Stockings and sort donations and clothes for their outdoor friends’ ministry in South Dallas.
