Traffic regulation

All faculty, staff and students are required to follow a maximum speed limit on campus of 20 miles per hour. They are also required to stop completely at all stop signs, yield at all yield signs and give the right-of-way to all pedestrians.

Parking regulations & Permits

Space for faculty, staff and students is provided in designated places on campus at no charge. The Information and Security Center will issue parking permits to all employees and students. Faculty and staff members are expected to abide by all traffic regulations on campus. Failure to do so will result in traffic tickets being issued. Repeated violations of traffic regulations will jeopardize an employee’s status with the University. Inclement weather will not be considered a justification for traffic violation.

Student parking permits are issued during registration. Each student who drives a vehicle on campus must obtain a parking permit each year at the beginning of the fall semester. Each student is required to show a valid driver’s license, proof of liability insurance and current registration before a permit is issued. The permit fee is included in the general fee. The permit should be placed in the rear window, on the passenger side and on the bottom.

Appealing a citation

In the event of receiving a citation the violator has 5 days from the date on the ticket to appeal their fine. They must fill out the Request for Appeal of Fines stating a reason for the violation and turn the form into the Information and Security Center to be reviewed.
