Course Selection Guidelines

Senior Course Selection Guidelines

  • Sign up for one bible core course until they are complete
  • You cannot transfer any courses during your graduating semester.
  • Receive approval to take and transfer in any courses remaining that will not be taken at SAGU by sending the school name and course description to [email protected] or filling out a Transfer Request Form (Please note that in your last 30 hours to complete your degree you can only transfer in 6 hours .)
  • Make sure you have taken 30 hours of upper level courses per graduation requirements
  • Check out your Degree Audit through your MYSAGU portal to make sure you are selecting the correct courses to complete your degree.
  • Fill out the graduation application by clicking on this link: Graduation Application .
  • Decide If you would like to make an appointment to meet with a team member in the Registrar’s Office – Course Schedulor for Graduating Students is Kyle Warnock

Junior Course Selection Guidelines

  • Sign up for one bible core course until they are complete
  • Receive approval to take and transfer in any courses remaining that will not be taken at SAGU by sending the school name and course description to [email protected] or filling out a Transfer Request Form .
    • (Please note that in your last 30 hours to complete your degree you can only transfer in 6 hours .)
  • Make sure you have taken 30 hours of upper level courses per graduation requirements

  • Decide If you would like to make an appointment to meet with a team member in the Registrar’s Office

Sophomore Course Selection Guidelines

  • Select Comp I and then follow it with Comp II until completed. (If you are in Comp I now, you will sign up for Comp II for the next semester.)
  • Make sure if you are in Developmental Math and/or Integrated Reading and Writing, you will need to sign up for it again for the next semester. (If you complete it you will be contacted about changing your schedule at the conclusion of this semester.)
  • Sign up for one bible core course until they are complete
  • Please note that you may take one class level above your classification.
    • Freshmen (0-29) can take 2000 level courses
    • Sophomore (30-59) can take 3000 level courses
    • Junior (60-89) can take 4000 level courses
    • Seniors (90+) can take all courses
  • Receive approval to take and transfer in any courses remaining that will not be taken at SAGU by sending the school name and course description to [email protected] or filling out a Transfer Request Form .
  • Make sure you declare any CLEP courses you have taken within your first year at SAGU. (in accordance with SAGU policy) You can send an email to [email protected] indicating the CLEP you have taken.
  • Check out your Degree Audit through your MYSAGU portal to make sure you are selecting the correct courses to complete your degree.
