Robert Gonzales (1979) is the published author of “I'm Going Home.” The book documents four summers of his childhood/youth and lessons taught to him by his Christian parents. He is working on a second book.

Ralph Lambuth Swallow , 97, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was born on April 8, 1919, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Mary Eva Sills and Elmer Montgomery Swallow. Ralph served on the Planning and Zoning Committee for 27 years; he served 3 terms on the city council and one year as mayor pro-tem; and served on the board of the Waxahachie Senior Center, Ellis County Christian Men’s Fellowship and the SAGU Board of Regents. He is survived by his granddaughter, Tonya Swallow Bazan; his sons, Elmer Roy and Anna Swallow, also by Marvin Swallow; his grandchildren, Casey Swallow and son, Lindsey Swallow and Children, Holly Swallow and Children, Debra Swallow and children, Jason Swallow and Samantha Swallow; his great-grandchildren, Lauren Bazan Hargrave and husband, Jeremy; and Jeremy Bazan and wife, Sarah; also by his great great grandchildren, Natalie Bazan and Jackson Bazan, his son, Mike Swallow and great-granddaughter, Ashley Bazan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Eva Laverne Swallow and also by his wife, Bernice Swallow.
Sidney Booth (1953)
, 84, passed away on January 7, 2016. He was born in Roswell, NM, on January 3, 1932. Sidney is survived by his beloved wife Donna Booth, joyfully married for 61 years. They have 3 children; Sidonna Bell, Randall Booth, and Billy Booth. Sidney and Donna have 5 children; Amber Bell Kosier, Breanna Bell Ellis, Nicole Booth Jahns, Jason Booth, and Caleb Morales. Sidney is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; Emma Ellis, Sophie Ellis, Bryson Ellis, Kari Kosier and Kaylee Kosier. Sidney was preceded in death by his father Sidney Booth, Sr., mother Nellie Booth, sister Chrystine Lindsey, and brothers Don Booth, Charlie Booth and Dee booth.
Verna May (Hall) Linzey (1939) was born May 17, 1919 in Coffeyville, Kansas, and passed away November 11, 2016. Her parents were Carey Franklin and Alice May (Hart) Hall. She attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University when it was in Enid, Oklahoma, before moving with her family to San Diego around 1938. Verna married Stanford E. Linzey in Mercedes, Texas on July 13, 1941. Verna Linzey and her husband became ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God Church soon after marrying. She leaves behind a tremendous legacy as the chief editor of the New Tyndale Version, translator for the Modern English Version, contributing editor for The Military Bible and The Presidents’ Bible, general editor of The Queen’s Bible, the host of television programs now being edited, author of theological books, writer of the hymn “O Blessed Jesus,” recording artist, and more.
