Students have another on-campus meal option beyond Einstein’s Bros. Bagels, The Caf, and the Lion's Den Grill as SAGU partners with Chick-fil-A to bring their signature sandwiches to the Barnes Student Center.
In conjunction with Aramark Food Services, Chick-fil-A began serving food in the Barnes Student Center’s Lion's Den every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
SAGU Business Services director Landon Orrill said, "We are ecstatic to enter into this partnership with Philip Browne and Chick-fil-A Waxahachie. We now have a more convenient way for SAGU students to enjoy one of their favorite restaurants. This is only the beginning."
Chick-fil-A was chosen to come to SAGU after an independent survey found that the restaurant was the top food choice among students.
Breakfast and lunch options are available for purchase or as a meal plan replacement.
Owner and operator of Waxahachie's Chick-fil-A, Philip Browne, said, "We are so excited to finally be able to offer our exceptional products on the campus of a most exceptional institution! It has been a long time in the making and hopefully it will continue to grow. We have enjoyed a wonderful mutually beneficial relationship with SAGU for over a decade now and I believe this will only serve to enhance that relationship. Two brands that can only add value to each other. To God be the glory."
This partnership is a trial run to potentially add a freestanding Chick-fil-A operation to the SAGU campus.
