Waxahachie, Texas—December 6th, 2017—Nadine Jaimes, a senior forward for the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women's soccer team, has been honored for this season's performance by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the United Soccer Coaches (USC).

Jaimes was named to the USC and NCCAA First Team All-American and named First Team NCCAA All-Tournament Team for her performance in the Lady Lions appearance in the national tournament in Kissimmee, Florida last week. The Lady Lions finished fourth in the tournament.

Jaimes finished the season with 22 goals, eight assists, 82 shots on goal, and four game winning goals. She has had a very illustrious four year career for the Lady Lions. She scored a total of 56 goals, had 19 assists, 191 shots on goal, and 10 game winning goals over four years of play.

Coach Paul Hason said, “It is a great honor and team accomplishment for Nadine to be nominated as First Team All-American by the NCCAA and USC for the second year in a row. Nadine, along with her teammates, focused on the process of striving for greatness which in turn lead to a record-breaking and record-setting season for the program."

The Lady Lions had their best win total in program history this season, winning a record 11 games. They also were able to make it deeper into the NCCAA National tournament than any other team in program history.

“Although my college career has officially ended, I am taking with me countless memories and experiences that cannot be replaced. The recognitions I have received are a direct result of the hard work I have put in over the last four years. I have worked hard to build something that speaks for me long after I am gone and I am happy that I am leaving this program better than I found it. I also want to thank my teammates and coaches for the effort they put into me. None of this would be possible without them," explains Jaimes.
