Moore, OK – Southwestern Assembly of God University (SAGU) soccer is at a difficult part of the schedule facing teams that are contending in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) race. SAGU took on another one of those opponents on Saturday. Mid-America Christian University (MACU) hosted SAGU (2-9-0, 0-4-0) in a 1:00 pm soccer match that resulted in a MACU (7-3-1, 2-1-1) victory of 4-0 over the Lady Lions.

Lady Lion Review

  • MACU scored their three goals on the day on crossing passes from the right side to the middle.
  • The second goal for MACU came on a breakaway.
  • SAGU managed both their shots for the game in the second half of the contest.
  • Taylor Jackson (SO/Springtown, TX) had eight saves on the day.

The Next Step

  • SAGU will host University of Science and Arts (USAO) from Chickasha, OK on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Lion Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, TX. USAO brings a 12-1 overall record and 3-1 conference record into the match. USAO’s attack features the second leading goal scorer in the conference, Emma Rice.
