Waxahachie, TX – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Women’s Basketball program was picked eighth in the conference preseason poll that was released in the fall. The Lady Lions are looking forward to a fresh start this spring, by bringing back a strong core from a competitive team last season. They will look to have a competitive season and make the conference tournament next month. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) play will officially begin in January with each team getting 14 conference matchups.

Spring Opener
  • On Saturday, January 9th the Lady Lions will host Oklahoma Panhandle State University here at the Sheaffer Center. Start time is scheduled for 2:00pm
Sooner Athletic Conference Championship
  • The top eight teams in the league will receive bids to compete in the SAC Tournament, with the top four teams hosting the quarterfinal round at their home sites on Feb. 25. The semifinal round and championship games will be held at the Gaulke Activity Center on the campus of Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City from March 1-2.
