Marshall, Texas- November 10, 2015- For the second time this season, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s basketball team lost to Wiley College .  The Wildcats topped the Lady Lions 61-34.  Just one week ago, SAGU hosted WC and lost 70-67.

WC jumped to the early lead and kept it throughout the game.  The Lady Lions simply couldn’t get any momentum.  At halftime, WC was up 29-17.  In the first half, Wiley dominated the offensive boards, pulling down nine offensive rebounds alone.

In the fourth quarter the Wildcats went on an 18-4 run, extending their final lead to 27 points, which was the greatest lead of the night.

SAGU was led by junior Laken Ward who scored 17 points and had five rebounds. Ebony Colbert scored eight points.

Wiley’s Anika Nottingham scored 18 points.  Wiley is currently receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll.

On Saturday, December 10, 2015 SAGU will play Dallas Christian College at 1:00pm.
