Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer Wiley College

In the second minute of the game, SAGU was able to score.  Senior Robert Ambrosie pressured the goalkeeper and then the quickly passed the ball to Parker Sturgeon .  Sturgeon found Isai Bonilla and with his first touch, Bonilla was able to put the ball in the back of the net.  SAGU went up 1-0.

SAGU was able to hold the lead until the 72 nd minute of the game.  At that point Wiley’s Dwight Pope scored the Wildcats first goal.

Wiley scored three more goals in the 75 th , 85 th and 87 th minute of the game.  The final score put Wiley up, 4-1.

“The turnovers in the middle of the field with less than 20 minutes on the clock is what changed the game for us,” says head coach Clem Oancea , “We can’t be so careless with our decisions on that part of the field.”

SAGU goalkeeper Cesar Espana had nine saves for the game.

On Saturday, August 29, 2015 the Lions will host Jarvis Christian College .  Game-time is at 1pm.
