Sooner Athletic Conference Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer Wayland Baptist Pioneers

The Lions weren’t able to get many looks at the goal, they had one shot for the game and that came from Marx Mora .

The first half remained close, WBU scored in the 18 th and 34 th minutes, making it 2-0 going into halftime.

In the 66 th minute of play, WBU’s Gian Scalise scored from a free kick from just outside the box.  Eight minutes later he turned around to score again for the Pioneers.  WBU had six players score their seven goals.  Scalise was the only player with multiple scores.

SAGU’s goalkeeper, Edgar Chavez , had five saves.

Up next, the Lions will travel to play University of Science & Arts-Oklahoma (4-5) on Friday, September 30, 2016.  Game time is at 7pm.
