The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball team faced off against cross-town rival Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) in a conference showdown. TWU was able to take a hard fought first set 25-22, the next two sets the Lady Lions weren’t able to pull out a set as they lost 25-13 and 25-21. The Lady Lions will look to bounce back against John Brown University on Friday, April 2nd

Notable Performers
  • Alexis Mealer (JR/ Arlington, TX) led the Lady Lions with 16 kills
  • Ava Meyers (SO/ Round Top, TX) was solid on both sides with 8 kills and 6 digs
  • Tori Richard-Burns (FR/ N Richland Hills, TX) and Riley Burcham (SO/ Georgetown, TX) had a total of 34 assists  
  • The Lady Lions finished with 35 kills and 34 assists
