The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Volleyball team hosted #16 Oklahoma City University (OCU) in a conference match-up. In a tough match against a top ranked team, the Lady Lions lost in three sets. The first set OCU took an early lead, in which the Lady Lions struggle to to battle back from, OCU won 25-20. The following 2 sets saw the same outcome, as the Lady Lions dropped both 25-19 and 25-18. The Lady Lions will be back in action Monday, March 1st at home against Langston University.

  • Alexis Mealer (JR/ Arlington, TX) led the Lady Lions with 7 kills
  • Tori Richard-Burns (FR/ N Richland Hills, TX) finished with 21 assists and 3 digs
  • Ava Myers (SO/ Round Top, TX) helped with 6 kills and 3 digs
  • Nikki Almaguer (SR/ Waxahachie, TX) was the leader on defense finishing with 9 digs

  • On Monday, March 1st the Lady Lions will play at home against Langston University. Start time is scheduled for 6:00pm
