“SCU hit .417 as a team and we hit .092.  There is the big difference in the game,” remarks head coach Hank Moore , “They also out-dug us 41-28.  You can’t win playing that way.”

The first set was the closest of all three.  The lead flipped flopped for most of the set and SCU had the lead at 19-18.  SCU went on to outscore the Lady Lions 6-3 in the final few points.

SAGU’s Sophia Ivy had 28 assists. Paulyae Dawkins had 10 kills and three blocks for the Lady Lions. Kali Shaw added nine kills.

When these two teams met earlier in the season, SAGU went on to win in a big way in five sets, which could be the most memorable win of the season so far.  Now, SAGU is 7-9 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and 15-15 overall.  Southwestern Christian is currently 6-10 in the SAC and 17-12 overall.

The Lady Lions will next play Mid-America Christian for their final home game of the season on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 6pm.  MACU is currently 2-14 in the SAC.
