The Lady Lions are now 8-5 overall and 1-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC).  USAO is 5-7 and 3-1 in the SAC.

SAGU jumped to the early lead and after a good jump shot by Alexis McAfee, SAGU led 17-8 with 2:13 left in the first quarter.

The Lady Lions were able to stay on top throughout the second quarter, but USAO did start to pull within reach.  By halftime, SAGU had the four point edge, 33-29.

Less than two minutes into the second half, the Lady Drovers took the lead and never looked back.

In the second half, the Lady Lions were outscored 43-19.  Another game-changer stat, the USAO bench outscored SAGU’s bench 32-3.

SAGU’s Charity Page had 15 points and six rebounds.  Laken Ward scored 14 points and had 9 rebounds.  Kayla Bise added 11 points.

USAO’s Dierra Ely scored 17 points.  Dorian Hill came off the bench to score 15 points.

The Lady Lions will finish out the week hosting two home games.  On Thursday, January 12, 2017, SAGU will host John Brown University (10-5) at 6pm.  On Saturday, SAGU will host Bacone College at 3pm.
