Lions Racers

  • David Burciaga placed 4 th in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase
  • The Men’s 4×100 team place 1 st with a time of 42.11
  • Both Charles Pulliam III and Colton Thurman placed top 10 in the 110- Meter Hurdles
  • In the 100-Meter Dash, Joshua Allen finished 4 th while Karrington Peirce finished 7 th
  • The Men’s 4×400 team place 6 th with a time of 3:33.25
  • Samuel Molina (6 th ) and Arturo Valdez (8 th ) both finished top 10 in the 800-meter dash.
  • John Saine finished 8 th in the 5000 Meter Dash with a time of 20:25.83
  • In the Triple Jump Damyan Woodward placed 8 th with 12.96m
  • Winston Griffith placed 5 th in Pole Vault with a height of 3.33m and 4 th in the Javelin Throw (49.20m)

Women’s Action

  • Mahogani Collins finished 8 th in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 1:08.90
  • Gabriella Anato set school records in three events. She placed 5 th in the discus throw with a new personal best of 34.58m; she also with a threw of 10.06m in shotput; in the javelin throw she threw for 21.62m.

  • “Now that is how you start a season off!  I am extremely proud of how the team performed after over a month off from competition due to the historic snowstorm for both of our home meets to be cancelled.  If anything, 2020 and 2021 has taught us to always be ready to capitalize on an opportunity because unplanned changes can happen in a second.   We are close, very close to hitting qualifying marks in several events and it is not even March!  If we can stay focuses, healthy, and humbled, this has the makings of becoming a historic season for our program!”

  • The Lions will compete again in Clinton, MS at Mississippi College on March 6 th
