The Lady Eagles led the entire game.  In the last 16 seconds of the first half, Ebony Colbert scored 5 points to make the halftime score 32-30.

To start the second half, SAGU’s Charity Page hit one free throw to cut SCU’s lead to one point.  Unfortunately, that was as close as the Lady Lions came for the rest of the game.  By the beginning of the fourth quarter SCU had the 11 point lead, 50-39.

Three Lady Lions scored 10 points; Ebony Colbert , Charity Page and Laken Ward .  Ward added 11 rebounds and Page had 10 rebounds.  Ward also had two steals.

SCU’s Andi McGill scored 18 points for the Lady Eagles.

Up next for SAGU, the Lady Lions will travel to John Brown University on Thursday, February 2, 2017.  Game time is at 6pm.  JBU is currently 15-6 overall and 7-3 in the SAC.  A little over two weeks ago, SAGU topped the nationally ranked Lady Golden Eagles at home.
