Sophia Ivy has been tabbed as Sooner Athletic Conference Setter of the Week for the fifth time this season. Ivy is a junior from Round Rock, Texas , who is leading the conference in every category she can as a setter. She is 1st in the SAC in total number of assists with 847 and assists per match 11.0. These numbers also rank her in the top five nationally for assists per game and 31st for total assists. During the weekend in the Lions two matches, she had an average of 11.38 assists, 2.63 digs, and 0.38 kills per set. Ivy broke her season-high against Wayland Baptist University with 62 assists in the five-set match last Friday night. This is her fourth time as a Lion to have 60 or more assists in a game.

Sophia and the Lady Lions are back in action on October 19th and 20th against Southwestern Christian University and Oklahoma City University . These two games are crucial in the conference race with both of these teams being in the top five.


Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a private, Christian university located 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Waxahachie, Texas.
