Waxahachie, Texas—February 19th-- The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) softball player of the week is Southwestern Assemblies of God University’s (SAGU) own Rosie Guardarrama.  The freshman outfielder from Cushing, Texas hit .563 (nine-for-16) with three runs scored and two Runs Batted In (RBI’s) as SAGU improved to 7-5-1 on the year.

Head Softball Coach Sarah Harman had high praise for the 5’4” freshman, “ Rosie is very deserving of this award as she had a great week offensively and made some key plays in the outfield that helped lead the team to a 4-0 week. Her hard work and dedication to SAGU softball is certainly impressive.”

SAGU was set to host the defending NAIA National Champions this Tuesday, February 20th but those games will have to be rescheduled due to the potential for rain this week in Waxahachie.
