Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Women’s basketball competed in their final game of the season at home against Langston University. The Lady Lions slow start put them in a tough spot as they were down 46-23 at the half. A big second half led by the senior cast of Kiara Glenn, Sydney Meador and Alexis Casher put the Lady Lions as close as 8 points in the fourth quarter. The half time deficit was too much for them to overcome with a final score of 78-67. All three seniors scored double figures in the game, leaving their all on the court.  

Notable Performers
  • Tamera Derrough (JR/ Arlington, TX) led the Lady Lions with 18 points
  • Sydney Meador (SR/ Denton, TX) finished the game with 14 points and 5 rebounds
  • Alexis Casher (SR/Irvington, AL) had 11 points and 10 rebounds. She finished the season averaging a double-double
  • Kiara Glenn (SR/Ennis, TX) contributed with 15 points
  • SAGU forced 16 turnovers
