Waxahachie, TX . Southwestern Assemblies of God Univeristy (SAGU) has accepted the resignation of Tiffany Phillips, SAGU Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Phillips indicated in her resignation letter that she was resigning to pursue other opportunities available in her life. Phillips was originally hired in the 2015-2016 season and has coached the Lady Lions to a 78-72 record in her five seasons as head coach with multiple all-conference and all-academic performers.

SAGU Director of Athletics, Dr. Jesse Godding, stated “I would personally like to thank Tiffany for her contributions to the women’s basketball program over the past five years as head coach. She has been a blessing to the campus, to me personally, and I wish her the best as she moves forward into the next season of life.”

SAGU will begin an immediate search for a new women’s basketball head coach.
