Waxahachie, Texas – September 14, 2017 – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer team lost to Huston-Tillotson University 4-1 Thursday evening.  The Lady Lions are now 3-4 for the season.

The first half put the Lady Lions in a bind. Slight mistakes made in the first 45 minutes of regulation left the Lady Lions down 2-0 going into halftime.

In the second half, with 15 minutes left on the clock, Senior Nadine Jaimes penetrated the Rams defense with an assist from junior Rachel Freed to score a goal. The game ultimately ended at 4-1 with Huston-Tillotson winning the game.

Coach Paul Hason said he was proud of the fight his ladies showed out on the field. Hason believes the ladies played well overall even though they dealt with the adversity of having a lack of substitutable players due to injuries. Coach Paul Hason likes to emphasize that the girls, “Win as a team, lose as a team, fight as a team.”
