Waxahachie, Texas – September 19, 2015- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball team won their second Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) game after beating St. Gregory’s University (1-5).  The Lady Lions are now 2-0 in SAC play and 9-3 overall.

SAGU was able to sweep SGU in straight sets, despite the fourth set going to extra points (25-17, 25-21, 26-24).

“St. Gregory played very well and has improved so much over the past two years,” says SAGU head coach Hank Moore , “Their team competed so strongly tonight. We are off to a very good start. I’m proud of our kids.”

SGU did have a season high attack percentage, but they couldn’t out hit SAGU freshman Kali Shaw .  Shaw had a career high in kills with 18.  She also had 17 digs.  The night before, against University of Dallas, Shaw led SAGU with 14 kills.

Senior setter Caitlin Paschall had another double/double with 30 assist and a match high of 22 digs.

The Lady Lions have now won their last six games.  After the victory over SGU, Coach Moore is sitting at 299 wins at SAGU.
