Fort Worth, Texas- November 4, 2015- It was the final game of the regular season for the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball team .  Unfortunately, it ended with Texas Wesleyan University winning in straight sets (25-11, 13-25, 23-25).

SAGU has ended regular season play with a record of 17-13 overall and 7-9 in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC).  The Lady Lions are fifth in the SAC.  TWU has one regular season game left, but they are currently third in the SAC with a record of 11-4 in the SAC and 22-10 overall.

Head coach Hank Moore was very impressed with TWU, “TWU played amazing tonight. We struggled from the very get go. This match is on me as I did not put them in a good rotation.  We will make some adjustments for this weekend’s SAC tournament.”

The Lady Lions were able to battle back and give the Lady Rams a good game in the third set, but in the end it was not enough for a win.  Senior’s Caitlin Paschall and Emmalee Smith led in the digs.  Paschall had 16 and Smith added 12.

Paschall had a double/double, adding 19 assists.  Freshman Kali Shaw led SAGU in kills with seven.

On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the SAC tournament will begin.  Times have yet to be determined.  Keep up with SAGU Sports Network on facebook and twitter for game times.
