Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) cross country SAGU Half Marathon

The half marathon is open to everyone.  The race starts and finishes on the SAGU campus in front of the Sheaffer Full Life Center.  The 13.1 miles will be ran throughout the historic city of Waxahachie .

The reason to host the SAGU half marathon is four-fold according to head coach Jason Covarrubias. Not only will it offer the active running community of Waxahachie another great event, it will help raise funds for the SAGU cross country and track programs.  “The race will also give the SAGU track team the opportunity to run a half marathon with the hopes to qualify for the marathon at the NAIA National Outdoor Championships.   The half marathon also gives other NAIA schools an opportunity to run a quality, yet affordable, event for the NAIA as well,” explains Covarrubias.

The race will begin at 7am on Saturday, February 4, 2017.  The cost will be $50.00 up until February 2, 2017.  Walk up entrance on race day will be $65.00.
