The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) softball team dominated the weekend sweeping Bacone College two games to zero and doing the same to Langston University . The Lady Lions outscored Bacone 30-0 in the series and Langston by a combined score of 17-5. They stay put at 3rd place in the Sooner Athletic Conference ; two games behind Oklahoma City University for 2nd and 4.5 games ahead of Mid-America Christian for 4th.

Game one SAGU played their best game of the season pitching and batting wise; Natalie Voss recorded her second win of the season after not allowing a run and only two hits after they run-ruled the Warriors in the 5th. Four different players had doubles in Cheyenne Fults with two, Rosie Guadarrama (2), Maddie Watson (2), and Morgan Valentino (1). Kayla Milstead went five for five with a triple, five RBIs and accounted for three runs. Next was players Valentino bringing in three runs after going three for four and Guadarrama having four RBI’s going two for three. Every starter for SAGU had at least one hit to start off the day.

The final game of the series against BC latest the full game with Voss getting her second win of the weekend and third of the year after not allowing a run in back to back games. Rhian Jounrye, Casey Waterman , Guadarrama, and Fults all had double hit games. Waterman led the team in RBIs with three after a triple in the first inning to start the game off 3-0. The Lady Lions will travel to Muskogee tomorrow, 4/2 to face Bacone again for a two-game series with game times at 1 pm and 3 pm.

SAGU started the series off against Langston how they ended against Bacone run-ruling LU 10-2 in the 5th inning after a six-run inning in the fourth. Journey, Waterman, and Guadarrama each had two RBIs to help the Lady Lions get their 18th victory of the season. Fults went two for three with a double that brought in one of their 10 runs. Waterman bumps up to 19th in the nation for wins after recording her 11th win of the season; 20 batters faced, five hits, five strikeouts, two runs, and zero earned.

Fults, Journey, Waterman, and Valentino all added to their weekends after each of them having two hits which would account for eight of their 11 hits during their 7-3 victory to end the weekend. Fults, Waterman, and Valentino each had two RBIs. They now have 19 games on the season which is now nine games away from the historic 2018 season.
