 Dallas, Texas—February 16th, 2018—The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Softball Lions completed a weekend sweep, going 4-0 with earlier wins against Jarvis Christian and defeating the University of Dallas in both games, 7-4 and 7-1. SAGU now moves to 7-5-1 on the season.
In game one, SAGU had an impressive 15 hits and were led by Rosie Guadarrama who went two for four and Kayla Milstead  who went two for four with a double and Run Batted In (RBI).  Kristin stringer was also two for four at the plate with a double and  when Brittany Livingston came in for a pinch hit she smacked a double to deep right center that led to two RBIs.
 Rachel Ray pitched a complete game for the Lady Lions. Ray managed to strike out six with one walk and scattered four hits.
For SAGU in game two the Lady Lions had nine hits offensively. Areas Luna went three for three with a double and three RBIs while Rosie Guadarrama and Casey Waterman both went two for four at the plate.
Casey Waterman pitched a complete game scattering three hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
Coach Sarah Harman was extremely impressed with her offense and the way the Lady Lions hit the ball. Harman said, “Offensively we were consistently putting the ball in play.  We had great performances from our entire lineup but I want to highlight Arras Luna for hitting a double with 2 RBIs and going 4 for 5 on the night. This is huge to see from our eight hole hitter. Luna has a patient presence at the plate and had a great night.”
