Oklahoma City, OK—May 3 rd —Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) softball team opened up play in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) tournament against Mid-America Christian University with a 2-1 loss. SAGU and MACU have now played each other five times with MACU winning four of those games by only one run.

Senior Kristin Stringer got SAGU going in the top of the second inning when she hit a solo Homerun over the right field wall. SAGU would take the lead 1-0. However, MACU would score the eventual two running wins in the bottom of the fourth.

SAGU left four runners on base and had three hits in the game. Casey Waterman pitched all six innings for the Lady Lions and would strike out four of the Lady Evangels.

SAGU continues the round robin play May 4th beginning at 1:00 PM against the host Oklahoma City University and then follow up at 3:00 PM against Central Christian College.
