Waxahachie, Texas- July 13, 2016- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) softball team has announced the addition of Destinee Vindiola to the 2017 roster.  Vindiola is a graduate of Frenship High School in Lubbock, Texas .

“Destinee has an impressive softball resume and is really speedy,” explains head coach Sarah Harman , “She is going to give us some great depth that will add to our outfield as well as our incoming class.”

As a senior, Vindiola averaged .267 with 32 hits.  She also added 20 RBI’s.  Her fielding percentage was .933 with 56 put outs.  She was named as a 2 nd Team All-District outfielder as well as the All-Academic Team.

Vindiola is excited about the opportunity to be at SAGU, “I’m looking forward to pursuing my relationship with Christ while getting an education and playing softball.  I hope to improve my athletic performance every chance I have as well.”

Vindiola will join a dozen other new recruits as Lady Lions in the 2016 year. Rachel Ray, Brianna Garner, Brittany Garner, Adriana Alonzo, Brittany Livingston, Danielle Etter, Kayla Milstead, Savannah Watson, Kennedy Sims, Kaili Jo Williams, Natalie Weaver and Baylee McBrannon have all signed letters of intent.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a private, Christian university located 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Waxahachie, Texas.
