Moore, Oklahoma – October 24, 2017 – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Men’s soccer team lost to Mid-America Christian University 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

The first half game was dominated by the Lions in terms of ball possession but neither team could find the back of the net forcing both teams back to their respective sides with a score of 0-0 after 45 minutes of game time.

Three goals were scored by Mid-America in the second half leaving the game final to 3-0.

Assistant Coach Caesar Espana stated “We dealt with a lot of adversity in this game. We were doing much better with controlling the ball until they were awarded a penalty kick. That’s just part of the game. We didn’t handle the obstacles set before us as well as we could have but we can move forward from this loss and use the bitter taste in our mouths to push through and attack the next game with full force.”

The Lions are set to play their next game on Saturday, October 28 th , 2017 against Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City at 4:00 P.M.
