Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) will host renowned singer, songwriter and humorist Mark Lowry on March 3 in the Hagee Communication Center Performance Hall.
Lowry is best known for penning the lyrics to the Christmas classic “Mary Did You Know?” He also sang baritone for the GRAMMY© Award-winning Gaither Vocal Band for many years.
“SAGU is honored to host Mark Lowry in the Hagee Communication Center,” says Eddie Davis, Vice President of Enrollment and Retention.
Mark Lowry has performed in front of audiences from the young age of 11 years old. As a young adult, he traveled to churches throughout the United States as a vocal performer and musician. It was also during this period when Lowry began to further his repertoire by testing his skills in comedy.
SAGU has had a number of notable southern gospel groups and artists perform in the communication center’s state-of-the-art performance hall. Mark Lowry will follow artists and musical groups such as The Isaacs , Jason Crabb and Point of Grace . All of whom performed in the performance hall within the past year.
Complete with an orchestra pit, state-of-the-art programmable lighting and sound, a 9-foot Steinway grand piano and a curtained stage, the Hagee Communication Center Performance Hall is the perfect concert destination for musical artists and performers such as the multi-talented Mark Lowry.
