“Bailey is a very hard worker in the classroom and it filters onto the field as well,” explains SAGU Softball Head Coach Sarah Harman, “She is a psychology major which is one of the toughest areas of studies, which is even more difficult with her added commitment to softball. I am proud and amazed at how she balances both and maintains such a high GPA.”
In order to be named as a Scholar Athlete, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
395 softball student-athletes across the nation have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Softball Scholar-Athletes. Siena Heights (Michigan) and Reinhardt (Georgia) lead the way with nine individuals.
