Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was recently ranked 9th in the country for having one of the best online degree programs for Elementary Education according to Learn.Org.

Learn’s ranking was established by assessing data from schools and other reliable sources, such as the U.S. Department of Education. Factors such as quality, cost, and value were also taken into consideration.

This isn’t the first time SAGU’s Education program has been recognized for excellence. The university’s online secondary education degree program has been recognized along with its online Associate’s in Early Childhood Education

According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) survey given to first-year teachers, over 90% of SAGU graduates said they felt prepared as a direct result of the university’s educator prep program.

In addition to this, 6 principals in the Waxahachie area alone are SAGU alumni.

“We hire SAGU graduates whenever given the opportunity. We know they are prepared to enter the classroom. SAGU graduates have great communication skills as well as high expectations for students. They show unfailing kindness and compassion to children and adults alike, and each possesses a Christian spirit that causes them to be patient and to live influential, honest lives.” - Dr. Bonny Cain, Waxahachie ISD Superintendent
