Waxahachie, Texas – January 6, 2017 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was recently recognized in a list of the top 30 online master’s in counseling programs from College Values Online.

SAGU was listed along with colleges and universities throughout the nation such as Grace College and Theological Seminary , Colorado Christian University and Liberty University .

Finalists were selected out of 75 schools that are currently offering online counseling programs. These rankings were developed based on affordability. All of the schools listed are from non-profit, regionally accredited universities.

College Values Online specifically noted how Christian values are incorporated into SAGU’s counseling program. College Values Online’s editor said, “Students can expect that as a Christian university, SAGU’s counseling courses are informed by a Christian worldview.”

Students in the online Master’s in Counseling Psychology program will take courses like counseling in a pluralistic society, theories of counseling and psychotherapy, personal lifestyle and career development, crisis intervention and integrative issues in the behavioral sciences.
