Waxahachie, Texas – June 2, 2017 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was recently ranked in the “Most Affordable Online Colleges for a Master’s in Divinity” for 2017.
This set of rankings represents online schools across the nation that are making an effort to provide economical options for students seeking online master’s degrees. Students who graduate from SAGU graduate with 20% less debt than other private universities.
SAGU’s Master of Divinity degree offers graduate level preparation for Christian ministry and post-graduate work. M. Div. students learn and practice careful biblical interpretation, think critically about biblical and contemporary theology and ethics and receive training in preaching and public speaking.
SAGU’s M. Div. program offers eight different specializations allowing students to customize their focus of study. Specializations include Biblical Languages, Biblical Studies, Counseling and several others. Students have access to a variety of courses depending upon their specialization. Courses include Marriage and Family Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Religion in Contemporary World Society and Issues in Contemporary Theology. There is also a thesis and non-thesis option.
New students pursuing an M. Div and are enrolled for the Fall 2017 semester or later qualify for a lesser grant of 15%. The grant awards $750 per semester, renewable over the life of your degree.
Award may vary depending upon student course load and length of time at SAGU.
