Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was ranked #17 on SR Education Group’s “Most Affordable Online Colleges for Counseling Degrees” amongst other distinguished universities including Liberty University , Ohio Christian University , and Washington State University .

SAGU offers both a bachelor’s degree in Counseling with a minor and a Counseling (pre-professional) degree. Both of which are offered 100 percent online!

-Counseling with a minor: This degree provides for a greater personalization of your counseling degree. Choose a minor in marriage and family counseling, criminal justice, intercultural studies, youth ministries, or another area as designated by your advisor.

-Counseling (pre-professional): This option is ideal if you are interested in helping people overcome life’s challenges. You may find work providing therapeutic advice for those struggling with addiction, family conflicts or spiritual crises.

*New Reduced Tuition for SAGU Online Beginning Fall 2019, SAGU is dropping online tuition from $575 to $499 per credit hour. That is a value of up to $10,000 on a 4-year degree!

The methodology for these rankings employs median mid-career salary data, as well as manually researched tuition rates.
