Waxahachie, Texas- February 11, 2016- Calling all sports lovers! Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) is excited to offer SAGU Community Appreciation Day this Saturday, February 13, 2016.  All south Dallas residents are invited to attend the SAGU home basketball games for free.

The Lady Lions will tip off at 1pm, followed by the men’s team at 3pm.  All you need to do is bring your local driver’s license and enjoy the game.  Area coaches are invited to bring their teams to cheer on the Lions to victory over John Brown University .

For the first time this season the Lady Lions have received votes in the NAIA National Poll.  They are currently 14-9 with a Sooner Athletic Conference record of 7-5.  They are currently tied for third place in the SAC.  Two months ago, JBU topped SAGU, 71-67.

The Lions are currently 15-9 overall and 6-6 in the SAC.  SAGU is currently sitting in sixth place in the SAC.  Earlier in the season, SAGU beat JBU, 81-69.
