Waxahachie, Texas – October 23, 2015 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) ​was named in the "Top 50 Best Colleges in Texas" list by with neighboring schools such as University of North TexasSouthern Methodist University and Baylor University.

The ranking was based on a proprietary algorithm. It draws information directly from federal education databases and key performance indicators like acceptance, retention, and graduation rates with student loan default percentages as a measure of graduates’ success after college.

Private university tuition averages around $45,500 per year. SAGU's average undergraduate, on-campus student tuition is $20,000 with 95% of students receiving financial aid. 

Recent data showed that top job prospects for Texas residents with bachelor’s degrees include elementary, secondary and middle school teaching, business specialists, and accounting; are offered both on-campus and online at SAGU.
