SAGU Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper Julio Guevara

Waxahachie, TX – Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) play continued for Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Saturday as John Brown University (JBU) came to Waxahachie for a contest played at Life High School due to rain amounts in the Waxahachie area on Thursday and Friday. The SAC leading JBU Eagles (13-2, 7-0) defeated SAGU (2-12-1, 1-6) 4-0.

Lion Review

  • Julio Guevara (SO/Houston, TX) returned to goal for the Lions and made 14 saves for the Lions.
  • Mazvita Chidarara (JR/Harare, Zimbabwe) led the Lions offense with 2 shots and one shot-on-goal.

The Next Step

SAGU (2-12-1, 1-6) will become road warriors in the coming week to complete the regular season. On Wednesday, October 30 th the Lions are scheduled to play Central Christian College in McPherson, KS at 7:00 pm. On Saturday, November 2, the Lions will be in Goodwell, OK to take on Oklahoma Panhandle State at 2:00 pm.
