Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer team Oklahoma City University Sooner Athletic Conference

In the 22 nd minute of play, OCU’s Volney Richardson scored off of a corner kick.  OCU took the early lead, 1-0.

About 10 minutes later, OCU went up 2-0 after Alexandre Taiar scored.

With five minutes left in the first half, SAGU scored after Danny Castro drove down the left side of the field and crossed it to Miguel Torres who scored, making the game 2-1.  This was Torres’ first goal of the season.

Just two minutes into the second half, OCU scored their final goal of the game.

SAGU goalkeeper Cesar Espana had four saves while allowing three goals and Edgar Chavez had two saves.

OCU advances to the next round of the SAC tournament with an overall record of 8-8. The Lions are now 9-9-1 overall.  SAGU will now play in the National Christian College Athletic Association’s regional tournament, which will be played at SAGU.  The NCCAA tournament will be held November 19-21, 2015.
