Waxahachie, Texas – January 11, 2018 – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s basketball team won against Bacone College by more than 30 points, giving the Lions their third straight win.
With a home-court advantage, SAGU drained 62 points in the first half giving them a 20 point lead over Bacone going into halftime. With the momentum in their favor, the Lions held onto and increased their lead in the second half. The final score of 106-74.
“It felt great to finally be back in the Sheaffer Center,” says Delton Deal, Head Coach for Men’s Basketball. “I loved the way we came out and played together as a team. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get a chance to enjoy playing in front of our home fans and I’m really happy with how we defended at a high level all night. I look forward to seeing this team continue to grow every day.”
The Lions will be back in the Sheaffer for their next game against John Brown University on January 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.
