Waxahachie, Texas–February 23rd, 2018–The Lions steady played the game in the first half. It wasn’t until the final 4 minutes of the period with SAGU tied up the game at 30-30. The score at the end of the first period was 34-30 with SAGU up with the slight lead.

Coming back from the half, the Lions went on full pursuit for the win. Though they only had a slight lead, the Lions did not allow the OCU Stars to take the lead back during the second half. This drive and determination allowed the Lions to come out on top with the Win and a final score of 77-70 in the Sheaffer Center.

Notable players were Cameron Hill and Desmond Medder who both had 13 points. Lance Tipton and Dareny Sims also both had 11. Dareny, specifically, had the highest number of rebounds with a total of 9 and 3 assists to cap off the night. Cameron Hill was 5 for 11 in field goals and 2 for 2 in free throws as well as being the player with the highest number of assists for the Lions with a total of 5.

Coach Delton Deal said “Our guys really bought in to defending at a high level tonight and that’s why we came away with a victory. Proud of Cameron Hill and Dareny Sims for bringing us home down the stretch and I am so proud of that the Lord is doing with this team!”

The Men will play their final regular season game as well has hold their Senior Night on

February 24th, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at the Sheaffer Center!
