Waxahachie, Texas— November, 20th, 2017--The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s basketball team came up with a 112-89 win over Wiley College on Friday night in the Shaffer Center. SAGU now moves to 5-0 this season.

SAGU came off to a slow start in the first 12 minutes in the game. They finally tied the game up and began to take control. The first half ended with a score of 54-40 with SAGU in the lead. SAGU came back on the court in the second half and continued their lead of the game. The final score was 112 SAGU to 89 Wiley.

“Tonight’s game was about being able to respond to adversity, and after a slow start our guys really showed a lot of character turning the game around. Great performances from Lance Tipton, Cameron Hill, and Dareny Sims sparked us and we are excited about how we are progressing. Looking forward to where God will take this team moving forward,” says Head Coach Delton Deal.

SAGU will be playing an exhibition match against Division II Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls at 7:30 P.M. on November 21st, 2017.
