Waxahachie, Texas—November, 9th, 2017–The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s basketball team came up with a 102-80 win over Arlington Baptist College on Thursday night in the Sheaffer Center. SAGU men’s basketball team came out strong in the first half with 59 points to the Arlington Baptist 37 points. Freshman Joshua Kashila led the team in scoring with 16 points in the first half and 22 points in the game. Desmond Meddler also had a great night with a total of 11 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.

“Great early energy tonight. We really shot the ball well early and I️ loved our first half. Freshman Joshua Kashila , especially had a great first half. In the 2nd half we got a little complacent, but we fought to the end and are happy to come away with a win,” says Head Coach Delton Deal .

SAGU travels to Dallas Christian on Monday, November 13th to face them for the second time this season. The women will play at 5:00 PM and men will follow at 7:00 PM.
