Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball Huston-Tillotson

In set one, the Lady Lions and HTU were pretty much matched point for point.  HTU’s Robinson had a kill that put them at 25.  SAGU’s Paulyae Dawkins followed up with a kill of her own as well as an ace. Faith Pittman also added a kill to put SAGU at 27.

The third set was much like the first.  SAGU was leading 17-11 when HTU was able to go on a run and make the score 21-20, SAGU.  HTU once again made it to 25 first, but the Lady Lions were able to battle back.  Freshman Kali Shaw had a kill followed by an ace and the winning point came after an HTU error.

“Our team won some very long rallies and served tough. Bo Vukadinovic had one of her best matches of the year,” says head coach Hank Moore , “She led us with three aces, but a majority of her servers kept our opponent out of system and they could not run their offense.”

On top of Vukadinovic’s three aces, she also led SAGU in digs with 14. Faith Pittman led in blocks with three. Kalie Shaw and Summer Skillern had nine kills.  Shaw also had 14 digs.  Sophia Ivy had 24 assist.

On Friday, September 16, 2016 the Lady Lions will host Southwestern Christian at 7pm.  On Saturday, they will continue conference play with University of Science & Arts-Oklahoma.
