Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – February 19, 2017- The Mid-America Christian University (MACU) women’s basketball team proved to be too much to handle for the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions.  MACU cruised to a 90-58 win over SAGU on Saturday.

The Lady Evangels jumped out to the early lead and kept it for the game.  SAGU was able to bring the score within five points (37-32) after Lexi Rich hit a trey with 7:43 left in the half.  Within the next two minutes, MACU jumped to a double digit lead and held it throughout the contest.

SAGU was plagued by turnovers, they had 17 compared to MACU’s nine.

SAGU’s Charity Page led all scorers with 22 points.  Page also had seven rebounds.

With the loss to MACU, the Lady Lions will wrap up their season next Saturday on senior day versus St. Gregory’s University.  On Thursday, SAGU will travel to play Oklahoma City University.  OCU is currently ranked no. seven in the NAIA and they are also first place in the SAC.
