Waxahachie, Texas – November 11, 2016 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) recently held our bi-annual Campus Days event.
Campus Days is an event hosted by SAGU each semester to inform and assist prospective students through the college decision-making process. All high school juniors, seniors and transfer students were invited to come out and experience a taste of college life at SAGU. Along with several fun activities, students that participated in Campus Days received the opportunity to spend the night on campus in a real dorm, attend actual SAGU classes and experience a student-led chapel service. A Campus Days weekend condenses the life of a SAGU student into a fun and informational event, perfect for the student who’s considering post-secondary education.
Joshua Martin, Assistant Dean of Admissions, says that Campus Days “provides an opportunity for students, prospective students, parents and other individuals involved in the college-choice process to come on to our campus and experience what being a SAGU student is all about.”
This year’s Campus Days included several exciting activities. The 470 attendees got to enjoy the fall fair, jazz and java, men and women’s basketball games and late night worship. Throughout the weekend’s events, participants receive the opportunity to interact with current students and staff. Along with the fun and games, students and parents are able to receive information on topics such as financial aid, degree plan options and campus life.
SAGU will be hosting our spring Campus Days event on March 30th-31st.
