Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) football Arizona Christian University (ACU) Firestorm th

SAGU is currently 3-1 overall and 2-0 in CSFL play.  SAGU leads the CSFL in scoring offense per game (43.5 points per game) and total offense per game (449.8 yards per game).   The Lions are led in rushing yards by senior running back JP Lowery who averages 107 yards per game. Junior quarterback CJ Collins has passed for 13 touchdowns and averages 263.8 yards per game. Jeremy Carr , who is the reigning CSFL Offensive Player of the Week, averages 87.8 yards per game and is leading the SAGU receiving core with six touchdown catches this season.

Defensively, SAGU is lead in tackles by senior defensive back Matt Williams with 27 and Landon Jones with 23.

Arizona Christian is currently 4-0 overall and 2-0 in CSFL play.  ACU is second behind SAGU in both total offense and scoring offense per game.  The Firestorm averages 41.8 points per game and 417.5 yards per game.

They have 11 rushing touchdowns and 12 passing touchdowns this season. They rank number three in Division I in total sacks per game (2.0), number 15 in scoring offense per game (41.8) and number one in punt yards per attempt (46). Quarterback Ryan Esslinger has 11 passing touchdowns and averages 254 yards throwing per game.

Saturday’s game will begin at 2:00 PM at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie, Texas.  SAGU Sports Network will be broadcasting the game live.
