Waxahachie, Texas – February 18, 2016 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) estimates to host 7,500+ visitors from over 20 organizations during camp events this summer, surpassing last year’s total of 5,500.

This summer, SAGU plays host to North Texas Fine Arts, Ed Camp, South Central Hispanic Youth District Fine Arts, North Texas Kids Fine Arts, Royal Family Kid’s Camp, Regional Fine Arts, North Texas District Council, Camp U, Artlife Camp, multiple athletic camps hosted by SAGU Athletics, and more.

SAGU was voted #37 in The 50 Most Beautiful Christian College & University Campuses in the World by Christian Universities Online . The campus blends the nobility of the Farmer Administration Building, a registered historic landmark constructed in 1901, with expansive new amenities in the additions of the Garrison Wellness Center (GWC) and Hagee Communication Center (HCC) .

The GWC has become a key resource for athletic camps. The 32,000-square-foot building provides an indoor basketball court, track, junior Olympic-style pool, racquetball courts, weights and cardio equipment.

The HCC , which opened in Fall 2013, created even broader resources for small and large events. The performing arts center features a state-of-the-art recording studio, a television studio, black box theater and a 600-seat performing arts auditorium.

Groups can schedule events in the HCC by contacting Tom Lepper at 972-923-5500 or emailing [email protected]. For any other on-campus events contact Terry Phipps at 972-825-4801 or email [email protected].
