Bethany, OK – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer team traveled to Bethany, OK Saturday for a conference matchup with Southwestern Christian University (SCU). SCU (2-6-0, 1-2-0) prevailed by a score of 5-1 over SAGU (2-7-0, 0-2-0).

• SAGU was outshot 8-2 in the first half and 14-3 in the second half.
• Natalia Torres (JR/Royse City, TX) scored her fourth goal of the year for the Lady Lions.
• The match was tied 1-1 at the half.
• In the second half close play continued until the wheels came off for the Lady Lions. A penalty kick for SCU scored their 2 ^nd goal. Over the next three minutes SCU scored three goals to open the game up.

• Sooner Athletic Conference play continues for the Lady Lions on Tuesday, October 8 ^th at 1:00 pm when they take on Wayland Baptist. The begins for the Lady Lions on Tuesday, September 24 ^th when SAGU travels to Ft. Worth, TX to play the Texas Wesleyan University Rams at 5:00 pm.
