Bethany, OK – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer team traveled to Bethany, OK Saturday for a conference matchup with Southwestern Christian University (SCU). SCU (2-6-0, 1-2-0) prevailed by a score of 5-1 over SAGU (2-7-0, 0-2-0).

Lady Lion Review

  • SAGU was outshot 8-2 in the first half and 14-3 in the second half.
  • Natalia Torres (JR/Royse City, TX) scored her fourth goal of the year for the Lady Lions.
  • The match was tied 1-1 at the half.
  • In the second half close play continued until the wheels came off for the Lady Lions. A penalty kick for SCU scored their 2 nd goal. Over the next three minutes SCU scored three goals to open the game up.

The Next Step

  • Sooner Athletic Conference play continues for the Lady Lions on Tuesday, October 8 th at 1:00 pm when they take on Wayland Baptist. The begins for the Lady Lions on Tuesday, September 24 th when SAGU travels to Ft. Worth, TX to play the Texas Wesleyan University Rams at 5:00 pm.
